Founded in 1916 by David Robbins, an amateur magician with a passion for the art of magic, D. Robbins & Co. has grown into one of the industry's longest-established wholesale suppliers of magic tricks, novelties, jokes, and puzzles.
David Robbins led the company until his retirement in 1960, when Paul Fried purchased the business. Paul served as President and CEO until his passing in 2016. Today, his daughters, Barbara and Elise, continue the family tradition of serving the magic and novelty industries.
Originally located in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City, D. Robbins moved to Brooklyn in 1978 and relocated to Cranbury, New Jersey, in 2004.
